“Expocentre Central Exibition Complex
The Expocentre exhibition complex comprises nine exhibition pavilions and a number of multi-purpose halls for congresses, seminars and business presentations. The complex boasts 150,000 m2 of exhibition space (90,000 m2 indoor; 60,000 m2 outdoor), and the architecture and engineering of its pavilions meet the latest requirements for exhibition venues. Following recent renovation works, every pavilion has entrances for large trucks, and modern loading/unloading equipment is available, as well as machines for moving oversized cargo. The pavilions also have enhanced communication systems, which are capable of connecting to complex, modern equipment for exhibitors’ use.
Pavilion No. 8, which opened in 2007, occupies a total area of 21,000 m2, of which 12,000 m2 can be used as exhibition space. The pavilion also houses a 300-seat conference hall and negotiation rooms. Pavilion No. 8 is the most technologically advanced in Russia; its halls meet the most rigorous acoustic requirements. The pavilion became part of a complex, bringing together existing pavilions (No. 2, 3, 7, and the “”Forum””), using a system of covered walkways. Thus, a single space was created, which combines areas for exhibitions, congresses, recreational activities and connecting walkways on the ground level of the pavilions. There are also new cloakrooms and a cafeteria. This has made the complex significantly more comfortable for visitors and staff.
